Bottom cut dissolves the UNDERSIDE of the splat — the capture's flat cut edge and the skirt of floaters hanging below the terrain. The number is metres below this scene's ground height where the dissolve starts, so smaller = cuts more. 0 = off.
The keep-radius disc is centered on the site pin by default — and the ranch sits ~1.2 km from the pin. Click the splat (recenters the orbit), then this button, and a tight radius works. With scan 2 selected in Align, centering + sizing the house disc ALSO drives the carve: the ranch splat auto-hides inside it so the high-res replaces it exactly.

Seam blending
The mesh cut is all-or-nothing per pixel — black hole or untouched — so the only way to soften it is to scatter the decision across a band. Stipple on dissolves it as fine noise; off gives a clean edge at mid-band, which is better where the splat above is solid and worse where it is thin. 0 m = the old hard cut.
Cutting the mesh paints it black and assumes the splat covers the hole. Anywhere the cut reaches past the splat's own trim, nothing does — that is what black wedges over open ground are. This holds the cut that far inside the trim so it cannot happen.
Only applies once a Splat footprint polygon is drawn — the radius disc has its own Edge fade above. Ramps the footprint edge over this distance instead of ending on the straight line between two vertices, with the band wandering so it reads as coverage running out rather than as a drawn boundary.
